Planning for Canberra Hospital's Energy Sustainability
The ACT Government has closed community consultation on the possible future energy scenarios at Canberra Hospital.
To plan for the future, the Health Directorate undertook a feasibility study to determine the hospital’s energy requirements in the years to come. This study also looked at possible scenarios to make the hospital more energy efficient.
A follow up consultation session is being held to provide feedback to the community on the information received and the outcomes that stemmed from the public consultation period.
This session will be one hour in duration and feature a presentation providing information about the results and recommendations from the consultation report. The session will also include the opportunity to speak to Health Directorate staff and industry representatives.

Tuggeranong Town Park Master Plan drop-in consultation
The ACT Government is seeking community input into the Tuggeranong Town Park Master Plan. The Master Plan will guide the future development of the park over the next five to ten years.
You can provide input into the draft Master Plan by attending the drop-in consultation at the stage in Tuggeranong Town Park on Thursday 3 May 2012 between 12.30 pm and 2 pm or by completing an online feedback form at timetotalk.act.gov.au; or by completing a feedback form at the Tuggeranong Library or Canberra Connect shopfront.
Following input from key stakeholders and the wider community, a draft Master Plan will be developed and publically displayed in June 2012. The draft Master Plan will also be open to consultation.

City to Gungahlin Transit Corridor Study Community Information Session
The City to Gungahlin Transit Corridor Study is investigating the feasibility of replacing the existing Red Rapid bus service between Gungahlin and City with a light rail transit (LRT) or bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor along Northbourne Avenue and Flemington Road.
The City to Gungahlin Transit Corridor is an integral part of the 2012 Transport for Canberra policy, which maps out ways to deliver faster, more convenient and more sustainable transport options for Canberra over the next 30 years.
The project aims to deliver high quality, fast public transport down one of the City’s busiest corridors, providing more incentive for people to use public transport and helping manage congestion as the corridor population continues to grow.

Open Day at the National Arboretum Canberra
The gates of the Arboretum are open for public vehicle access between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
Come and see the Arboretum starting its Autumn colours and the new Canberra Discovery Garden. Please note that some minor roads are gravel or dirt and may not be accessible due to roadwork or inclement weather. Please follow all direction signage, adhere to the 40km/hour speed limit and be considerate of all road users – cars, buses, cyclists, equestrians and pedestrians.

Molonglo Valley group centre information session
Consultation is now open for a community focused group centre for the Molonglo Valley development. Molonglo Valley is the ACT’s next frontier of development, and it is the intention of the government to involve the community who will enjoy this area in coming years to be involved with its development throughout the whole process. The group centre will provide a mix of uses, including community, education and recreation facilities, commercial, retail and housing.
You are invited come and look over the information displays and talk with staff about the project.
